AliExpress dropshipping is one of the most commonly used method to make money online. You can easily order products from suppliers and ship them directly to your customers.
As Shopify store owners, we understand the importance of knowing all the rules of working with AliExpress suppliers. In this post I will answer all of the questions on how to deal with your AliExpress suppliers and how to manage your orders.
How can I get a refund from the seller?
In a few cases you will need a refund from your seller. It may be because the wrong item was delivered to your customer or it can be that the package was lost in the post. In a few cases I had suppliers that didn’t ship the product at all.
Most of the time, these issues can be handled directly by communicating with your supplier. But sometimes, depending on the situation, you might need to take it even further.
You can try to message the supplier and if you don’t get a satisfying answer, you can open a dispute.

Which shipping method should I use?
There are a few ways to ship your products to the customers. The cheapest and most commonly used is “China Air Post” which can take 30-45 days for shipping the product from China to US. Don’t use this shipping method(!) American customers are used to getting their online purchases within a week.
The second method of shipping your product is E-packet which I recommend using even if it costs $2-$3 more compared to the regular shipping. It will take 7-14 days for the product to arrive to your customer with E-packet shipping.
Where can I find the tracking codes?
For each parcel sent from your supplier there is a tracking code that allows you to follow its shipping progress. A few of your customers will ask you for that code and it is important for you to know where to find it.

What do I do if the customer wants to return the item?
You will have a few customers that will be unhappy with the purchase and they will ask you to return the item and get a refund. In this case I would check how much does it cost to send the package to my address and send a refund to the customer.Sometimes the return cost will be higher than the value of the product and its not worth it to send it back to you, so in this case I would just send a refund to the customer and email them that
they can keep the product.
